Live More Think Less

My 2 highlights

  • As a rule, depressed people tend to ruminate more than people with anxiety, who tend to worry more.
  • The majority of the 30,000−70,000 thoughts that our brain produces every day are completely insignificant to us. But some will affect us emotionally. These thoughts have some significance to us and, for one reason or another, demand our attention. In metacognitive therapy we call these ‘trigger thoughts’. They are thoughts which can set a strong reaction in motion.
